If you haven't heard by now, a draft of a Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe vs Wade was leaked to the media and there are questions and accusations from both sides of the political spectrum. The tension between the two sides has been mounting ever since 2016 when Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton for the presidency. Since that day, the vitriol from both the liberals and the conservatives in this country has reached all time highs. This leak of the Supreme Courts decision to overturn Roe vs Wade is the latest distraction to stir both sides into a fenzy that just might spark a second Civil War in this country.

It has been rumored that a clerk that works for liberal judge Sotomayor may have leaked the initial draft of the decision to spark outrage by the left and get protests going which is what we are seeing. Not only do we see protests but we are also seeing fertility clinics and prolife non profit organizations being vandalized and destroyed and we are even seeing criminal acts like going after SC justices at their homes.

There are also those who say that this draft was leaked by a clerk of a conservative judge as an effort to force them to hold their ground and not back down from their decision. A rumor that Judge Roberts was trying to convince some of the other conservative judges to consider a route in their decision.

While we haven't seen violence or rioting yet, they are bound to happen given the volatile nature of this topic. But it's that volatility that makes me curious. Why now? Why this controversial decision in an election year? Who stands to benefit from the turmoil that will come from this? Just some of the questions we need to find answers to.

Let's take a moment to step back 2 years and look at what happened with the George Floyd riots. Massive looting and destruction in major cities all over this country over a controversial subject because of how it was portrayed through the media. We can expect the same thing with this decision. As it is, the White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has made it clear that protesting in front of the court and at the justices houses is completely supported by the President and his administration even though they are all breaking the law by doing said protests. The same law that many of the Jan 6th protesters are being charged and have been held in jail for. But will we see any prosecutions for it? If you are reading this article, then you probably already know the answer to that question.

That's one of the biggest problems in politics in today's America. The left side of the isle will blame the right for horrible things, things that they are actively doing themselves. This decision would do nothing more than revert abortion laws back to the states and while you have some Republican led legislatures that are aiming to pass some very strict laws in regards to abortion, the beauty of this country is that you aren't required to live in those states where you are the minority in the court of public opinion.

In the end, this doesn't effectively take away a womans right to dictate what happens to her body, just that she accept the consequences when she utilizes her right to have unprotected sex. In today's age of medicine, we have the morning after pill that can be taken after a night of bad decisions. This is where personal responsibility comes into play, something the radical left has been slowly eliminating in today's society.
